Although I’ve still had the usual amount of dissociation… this week has actually been really good considering. I pushed myself to go to a physco-therapy appointment early on in the week which I was actually really dreading. It turned out well which I was glad about so that was a positive.
I have also made sure to keep myself really busy and productive. I’ve always found that keeping busy is a really good distraction and helps me to keep my mind focused. I took my dog to the groomers, met my sister for lunch, sorted out a few things I had been meaning to do around my home and entered a photography competition. These are just a few of the things I have done this week.
I’ve also started some new medication which seems to be helping with my sleep. *Fingers crossed!* I usually despise taking medication as I never have any luck with them, always forget to take them and it is not something I would ever want to rely on or get myself dependant on. Something must be different this time though as I have gave them a good go and have been setting an alarm so I remember to take them on time. My sleep does seem to have got better so I will definetly continue with them.
Aswell as the medication, I have also been making an extra effort to remind myself to eat/drink regularly which is something I usually struggle with. I can go days without eating at times so this is a big thing for me! I’m definetly trying to keep things together and it seems to be going well so far. Who knows how long it will last… but I will enjoy it while I can! It’s nice to have a good week… I just wish it was like this all of time.
