It’s been a good couple of weeks but as usual it only lasts so long before the ‘same old’ comes creeping back in… I knew it was gonna happen so I made sure to treasure every moment while it lasted.
This week, I thought it would be nice to make my living room more of a relaxing space so I went out and brought the biggest fish tank I could find. (Over 200 litres) I think fish tanks look amazing when they are properly set up. I love all the different colours, bubbles and lighting effects they have. I find it fascinating watching all the fish swim around so graciously like they haven’t a care in the world.
I haven’t got any plans to get any fish as of yet although I have set up the tank. I don’t want to rush into anything. I think it’s probably gonna take a few months just for all my ‘other parts’ to get used to tank being there. The last thing I want to do is throw real live fish that need feeding everyday into the mix! However, I did go out and get a beautiful artificial lion fish… he actually looks very real! And the current of the water filter makes his fins move. My family honestly couldn’t believe he wasn’t real when they saw him. It’s been really fun setting up the tank and has been a great distraction for me at times. I had a really tough physco-therapy appointment on the day my tank was delivered. I was able to come home and set up my tank which took me a good few hours. It kept me focused and busy which is definitely what I needed at the time. As a side note, I named the lion fish Paul! He isn’t real but I’ve actually grew really fond of him!😉
