I’m sure if everyone had a time machine, they would love to go back and change a few things. Who wouldn’t? I often wonder what my life would be like if things were different. It’s easy to imagine all the different possibilities and outcomes there could be. It leaves me pondering the question… was it always supposed to be this way? If you believe in fate, then I suppose the answer would be yes. It can really get you down in the dumps.
Some scientists and physicists would argue that going back in time and changing things (no matter how small they seem) should be avoided at all costs because it could have a worser impact on the world and people around us than what we could ever realise. I don’t believe stepping on a bug would cause world war 3 but I kind of get where they are coming from… there are so many movies around about things like this happening!
With time machines out of the equation (due to the lack of sparticles😉) it sucks that none of us can go back and change things that have already happened to us. We many never find total peace with our pasts and that’s ok. However, when we think about it, we do have the power to look towards the future (no matter how bleak things seem) and try to change the here and now. I know that it is easier said than done.
It’s hard to imagine things ever being different when you are under a dark cloud of depression and uncertainty. Sometimes, the here and now feels unbearable! It’s easy to give up hope that things will ever change or get better but time can only move forwards and not backwards. We may feel stuck (and sometimes we are) but time is still moving on without us and we might as well try to move with it. Surely any direction is better than no direction? Who knows?! Only time with tell!😜
